I know they are different, but, Trinity United Church of Christ sounds like they have the same values as the Black Hebrew Israelites

September 20, 2008

I lived in New York (Brooklyn to be exact) for a while. Every time I went down to the down town market… there were men standing on the streets wearing some sort of traditional African/Warrior clothes, holding big swords. They sat there and preached how they were going to make restitution for the oppression the “white man” had held over them for 200 years. They would say that in the year 2000 they were going to rise up and slaughter the “white man” because God decreed it.

The same people would corner you (if you were white) on the street and ask you what color God was, then verbally assault you if you said anything BLACK. To tell you honestly… it was quite scary on occasion. These people had a lot of hate and expressed it.

Read more about them here:Read on Wikipedia.org

I would like to share my own feelings on this issue:
I’m not racist… nor have I ever been. However, I do believe that a religion or people that teach hate and death of a race should not be tolerated whether they are black or white. I feel bad for the way these people have been treated through history and do not agree with it. I do not, nor have I ever agreed with it.

Do I feel they are just in being upset? No, not at this time… Many years have passed and the majority of people are not racist. They do not harbor the views that others had in the past. I do genealogy and do not from my understanding have a relative who ever owned a slave. Should I be punished for a perception… a perception that all whites are racist or have been slave owners? NO! Yet these groups… (like the Hebrew Israelites) throw us into a group or category making an assumption that is false and as unjust as their forefathers were treated.

Why am I digging this up at this time?
Now I don’t know what Barrack Obamas church teaches behind closed doors. I don’t know what the pastor says when he is in closed quarters. If Barrack Obama is a part of the theology that is even close to that of the Hebrew Israelites… It is not right.

One is based on Judaism the other on Christianity… but they both seem to teach that the white man is the source of all the worlds problems and they both seem to teach contempt for the white man. Honestly… I think religion should teach respect and love for one another. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Love your neighbor as yourself. Kindness. Tolerance. Peace.

These questions have to be asked. Who is Barrack Obama… and what does he REALLY BELIEVE?

What is Afrocentric Theology and how does it relate to Barrack Obama?

September 20, 2008

I found a blog that details very well what is the problem with Afrocentric Theology and the teachings of people like Jeramiah Write, Barracks Pastor for 20 years; and James Cone, the writter who’s books are the source of the Trinity United teachings and Afrocentric Theology.
This is a great (fairy short) blog entry that details it very well: (the Dancing from Genesis Blog)

Full Text:

Black Jesus Afrocentric Theology Jeremiah Wright Mentors Teachers Black Nationalism James Cone Dwight Hopkins Messiah Blacks Only Destroy White Enemy Obama Unfit for Presidency Black NationalismNo doubt, when Barack Obama was at Harvard law school, studying the writings of his future pastor Jeremiah Wright, he also studied the works of black liberation theologists James Cone and Dwight Hopkins, who were (and still are) the inspiration for Wright’s theology, the message Obama has heard for over 20 years, sitting in the pew of Wright’s church in Chicago.

When Wright was interviewed by Sean Hannity (a year ago) about his theology, all Wright would say to tough questioning about it was ”have you read James Cone, do you know what James Cone says?” On and on, it was basically his only response, acting as if Sean is illiterate if he hasn’t read the works of James Cone, who now works at Union Theological Seminary, who says that Jesus was black when he was on earth 2,000 years ago, the same opinion as Dwight Hopkins, who now works at the University of Chicago school of divinity.

They say that black Jesus empowers blacks to “destroy the white enemy,” some of the material which Wright was taunting Hannity to familiarize himself with, so here we have Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s close friend, confidante, and inspiration, inciting blacks to destroy the white enemy with the help of their god, according to the teachings of Cone and Hopkins, surely endorsed by Louis Farrakhan, a good buddy of Wright’s.

So is Obama really fit to be president of the U.S., considering that his savior helps only black people to destroy the white enemy? And if Obama really doesn’t believe that stuff, then why did he sit in the pew listening to Wright for 20 years, and why did Obama study Wright, Hopkins, and Cone, during his law school days? And why did he support Raila Odinga of Kenya recently, who promised Sharia Law to his muslim backers for Kenya if elected?

Trinity United Mission Statement

September 20, 2008

The Pastor as well as the membership of Trinity United Church of Christ is committed to a 10-point Vision:

  • A congregation committed to ADORATION.

  • A congregation preaching SALVATION.

  • A congregation actively seeking RECONCILIATION

  • A congregation with a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA.

  • A congregation committed to BIBLICAL EDUCATION.

  • A congregation committed to CULTURAL EDUCATION.

  • A congregation committed to the HISTORICAL EDUCATION OF AFRICAN PEOPLE IN DIASPORA.

  • A congregation committed to LIBERATION.

  • A congregation committed to RESTORATION.

  • A congregation working towards ECONOMIC PARITY.

Mission Statement

Trinity United Church of Christ has been called by God to be a congregation that is not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ and that does not apologize for its African roots! As a congregation of baptized believers, we are called to be agents of liberation not only for the oppressed, but for all of God’s family. We, as a church family, acknowledge, that we will, building on this affirmation of “who we are” and “whose we are,” call men, women, boys and girls to the liberating love of Jesus Christ, inviting them to become a part of the church universal, responding to Jesus’ command that we go into all the world and make disciples!

Again… is this the type of person who will be committed to the AMERICAN PEOPLE?He is a member of that church, and has been for the last 20 years. He alegence is to AFRICA, NOT AMERICA! He is committed to BLACK LIBERATION and RECONCILIATION. I have strong doubts that he will be committed to ALL the poeple of America. Those are very strong doubts.

Trinity United and Barrack Obama’s Value System

September 20, 2008

Obamas Church – Trinity United Church of Christ
http://www.tucc.org/
Barrack Obama went to this chruch for 20 years. Obama also says that he never heard a fired up racial sermon in this church… what does this chruch teach?
About Trinity United:
http://www.trinitychicago.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=12&Itemid=27
They are a church that is black, that focuses on black religion, traditions, worship, ministries, and communities.
What are these values:
http://www.trinitychicago.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=114

The Black Value System:
These Black Ethics must be taught and exemplified in homes, churches, nurseries and schools, wherever Blacks are gathered. They consist of the following concepts:

Commitment to God - become Black Christian Activists, soldiers for Black freedom
Commitment to the Black Community – The highest level of achievement for any Black person must be a contribution of strength and continuity of the Black Community.

Commitment to the Black Family - Those Blacks who are blessed with membership in a strong family unit must reach out and expand that blessing to the less fortunate.

Dedication to the Pursuit of Education – We must forswear anti-intellectualism. Continued survival demands that each Black person be developed to the utmost of his/her mental potential despite the inadequacies of the formal education process.

Dedication to the Pursuit of Excellence -

Adherence to the Black Work Ethic - High productivity must be a goal of the Black workforce.

Commitment to Self-Discipline and Self-Respect - Self-discipline, coupled with a respect for self, will enable each of us to be an instrument of Black Progress and a model for Black Youth.

Disavowal of the Pursuit of “Middleclassness” – Classic methodology on control of captives teaches that captors must be able to identify the “talented tenth” of those subjugated, especially those who show promise of providing the kind of leadership that might threaten the captor’s control.

Those so identified are separated from the rest of the people by:

  • Killing them off directly, and/or fostering a social system that encourages them to kill off one another.
  • Placing them in concentration camps, and/or structuring an economic environment that induces captive youth to fill the jails and prisons.
  • Seducing them into a socioeconomic class system which, while training them to earn more dollars, hypnotizes them into believing they are better than others and teaches them to think in terms of “we” and “they” instead of “us.”
  • So, while it is permissible to chase “middleclassness” with all our might, we must avoid the third separation method – the psychological entrapment of Black “middleclassness.” If we avoid this snare, we will also diminish our “voluntary” contributions to methods A and B. And more importantly, Black people no longer will be deprived of their birthright: the leadership, resourcefulness and example of their own talented persons.
  • Pledge to Make the Fruits of All Developing and Acquired Skills Available to the Black Community.
  • Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting Black Institutions.
  • Pledge Allegiance to All Black Leadership Who Espouse and Embrace the Black Value System.
  • Personal Commitment to Embracement of the Black Value System. To measure the worth and validity of all activity in terms of positive contributions to the general welfare of the Black Community and the Advancement of Black People towards freedom.

This is what Barrack Obama believes… and this is what Barrack Obama has been tought for the last 20 years. This is the core value system that Barrack Obama espouses. IS THIS WHO WE WANT TO BE PRESIDENT?
