Vote NO to socialism… or anything like unto it.

October 29, 2008

I hope you don’t mind all of the emails I have sent over the last few weeks. But this is one of the most important that has been sent. Please consider it before casting your vote this year.

This is an email with an audio clip of Ezra Taft Benson.  It is very interesting given what hangs in the balance of this election.  The end of it talks about how we will be fed socialism until one day we wake up and find we all ready have communism.  We have been being fed socialism for some time.  We now have the chance to elect a president who will feed us a greater amount of socialism.  Will we wake up under his administration to find we have communism and wonder what we have done?

The fate of the nation hangs in a balance… what will we decide?

If you do not read the article consider these few excerpts taken from a talk by Ezra Taft Benson given at BYU in 1977: Located at: http://speeches.byu.edu/reader/reader.php?id=6162&x=55&y=6

“Why is socialism incompatible with man’s liberty? Socialism cannot work except through an all-powerful state. The state has to be supreme in everything. When individuals begin to exert their God-given rights, the state has to suppress that freedom. So belief in God must be suppressed, and with that gone freedom of conscience and religion must also go. Those are the first of our liberties mentioned in the Bill of Rights.”

“Many are now advocating that which has become a general practice since the early 1930s: a redistribution of wealth through the federal tax system. That, by definition, is socialism!”

“Americans have always been committed to taking care of the poor, aged, and unemployed. We have done this on the basis of Judaic-Christian beliefs and humanitarian principles. It has been fundamental to our way of life that charity must be voluntary if it is to be charity. Compulsory benevolence is not charity. Today’s socialists–who call themselves egalitarians–are using the federal government to redistribute wealth in our society, not as a matter of voluntary charity, but as a so-called matter of right. One HEW official said recently, “In this country, welfare is no longer charity, it is a right. More and more Americans feel that their government owes them something” (U.S. News and World Report, April 21, 1975, p. 49). President Grover Cleveland said–and we believe as a people–that though the people support the government the government should not support the people.”

“The chief weapon used by the federal government to achieve this “equality” [Barak Obama and Democrats today would call it fairness] is the system of transfer payments. This means that the federal governments collects from one income group and transfer payments to another by the tax system. These payments are made in the form of social security benefits, Medicare and Medicaid, and food stamps, to name a few. Today the cost of such programs has been going in the hole at the rate of 12 billion dollars a year; and, with increased benefits and greater numbers of recipients, even though the tax base has been increased we will have larger deficits in the future.”

Consider what hangs in the balance. Even our very RIGHTS and FREEDOMS hangs in the balance. Now is the time to stand and raise your voice. Don’t let the bias US Media be the only voice that is heard this election.

Stand and vote for freedom on Tuesday.  Encourage all you know to stand and vote for freedom.

Is is true or false? Is Palin really rogue?

October 27, 2008

Article on CNN
I have a hard time believing anything that CNN says. But one thing that I can tell you all for sure… If Palin is going off message she is saying the right things and I would rather elect her as president than McCain or Obama. She is the only one who is in the words of Obama “finally giving us a little straight talk”.

There is something funny about the way Obama said that. For some reason, it reminds me of something Edie Murphy would say or Chris Rock. Maybe we are electing Barack “the comedian” Obama… because his presidency is going to be ONE BIG JOKE!

God Bless America!

Obama Bans TV Station over Biden Questions

Angry over a hard-nosed interview during which Barbara West of Orlando’s WFTV peppered Sen. Joe Biden with the kind of probing questions the pro-Obama mainstream media refuses to ask, the Obama campaign has completely banned the television station from future access and interviews.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Biden was so disturbed by West’s searching questions that the Obama campaign canceled a WFTV interview with Jill Biden, the candidate’s wife.

“This cancellation is non-negotiable, and further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best, for the duration of the remaining days until the election,” wrote Laura K. McGinnis, Central Florida communications director for the Obama campaign.

McGinnis said the Jill Biden cancellation was “a result of her husband’s experience yesterday during the satellite interview with Barbara West.”

During the interview, West asked Biden: “Aren’t you embarrassed by the blatant attempts to register phony voters by ACORN, an organization that Barack Obama has been tied to in the past?”

Biden appeared flustered by the question, but quickly gained his composure and denied that Obama had been close to ACORN.

Biden claimed that the campaign had not paid ACORN any money to register voters.

West did not challenge Obama on this point, though during the Democratic primary in Ohio, the Obama campaign had, in fact, paid more than $800,000 to an ACORN-backed group. West did note that Obama has worked with this group in the past. [See: Obama and ACORN: You Can Run But You Can't Hide].

West again stung Biden, asking him about Obama’s statement to Joe the plumber that he planned to “spread the wealth around.”

West queried: “A Gallup poll showed 84 percent of Americans prefer the government focus on improving economic conditions and creating more jobs in the U.S., as opposed to taking steps that distribute wealth. Isn’t Senator Obama’s comment a potentially crushing political blunder?”

Dodging the question, Biden attacked the Bush economic and tax policies and Sen. John McCain’s tax program.

West bored in, quoting Karl Marx’s “From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs,” and asked Biden, “How is Senator Obama not being a Marxist if he intends to spread the wealth around?”

Biden appeared stunned and asked, “Are you joking? Is this a joke?”

He then insisted that despite Obama’s declaration that he would spread the wealth around, Obama “is not spreading the wealth around.”

West then asked Biden about his now-famous statement that Obama would be tested and would not be able to stand up to the challenge without help.

“Are you forewarning Americans that nothing will be done and that America’s days as the world’s leading power are over?” West asked.

An obviously annoyed Biden responded by asking West who was writing her questions. West is a veteran TV news journalist who had worked as Peter Jennings’ producer at ABC News.

Biden responded that whoever is elected will be tested, and then attacked McCain’s record.

West returned to the “spreading the wealth” question, asking Biden what he’d “say to the people who are concerned that Barack Obama will want to turn America into a socialist country much like Sweden?”

Biden again ducked the question, saying only that he didn’t know anybody who thinks that, “except the far-right wing of the Republican Party.”

WFTV news director Bob Jordan told the Sentinel: “When you get a shot to ask these candidates, you want to make the most of it. They usually give you five minutes.”

He added that political campaigns in general pick and choose the stations they like. And stations often pose softball questions during the satellite interviews.

“Mr. Biden didn’t like the questions,” Jordan said. “We choose not to ask softball questions. ”
