I know they are different, but, Trinity United Church of Christ sounds like they have the same values as the Black Hebrew Israelites
September 20, 2008I lived in New York (Brooklyn to be exact) for a while. Every time I went down to the down town market… there were men standing on the streets wearing some sort of traditional African/Warrior clothes, holding big swords. They sat there and preached how they were going to make restitution for the oppression the “white man” had held over them for 200 years. They would say that in the year 2000 they were going to rise up and slaughter the “white man” because God decreed it.
The same people would corner you (if you were white) on the street and ask you what color God was, then verbally assault you if you said anything BLACK. To tell you honestly… it was quite scary on occasion. These people had a lot of hate and expressed it.

I would like to share my own feelings on this issue:
I’m not racist… nor have I ever been. However, I do believe that a religion or people that teach hate and death of a race should not be tolerated whether they are black or white. I feel bad for the way these people have been treated through history and do not agree with it. I do not, nor have I ever agreed with it.
Do I feel they are just in being upset? No, not at this time… Many years have passed and the majority of people are not racist. They do not harbor the views that others had in the past. I do genealogy and do not from my understanding have a relative who ever owned a slave. Should I be punished for a perception… a perception that all whites are racist or have been slave owners? NO! Yet these groups… (like the Hebrew Israelites) throw us into a group or category making an assumption that is false and as unjust as their forefathers were treated.
Why am I digging this up at this time?
Now I don’t know what Barrack Obamas church teaches behind closed doors. I don’t know what the pastor says when he is in closed quarters. If Barrack Obama is a part of the theology that is even close to that of the Hebrew Israelites… It is not right.
One is based on Judaism the other on Christianity… but they both seem to teach that the white man is the source of all the worlds problems and they both seem to teach contempt for the white man. Honestly… I think religion should teach respect and love for one another. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Love your neighbor as yourself. Kindness. Tolerance. Peace.
These questions have to be asked. Who is Barrack Obama… and what does he REALLY BELIEVE?

Saying that your ancestors never owned slaves in those days is an historical anomaly. It’s the same as people having cell phones today: Almost everybody has one; and the ones who don’t…..they want one, but just can’t afford it!! Just like owning a cell phone today is the norm, owning a slave was the norm in those days! In addition to that, the entire stock market (Wall St.) was established upon the slave trade; wall street is where the slaves were bought and sold when they arrived in the northern colonies. So historically speaking, every company who benefits off the stock market here, has directly or indirectly condoned slavery!! This entire country was built on the slavery of so called blacks, Native Americans and other indigenous peoples in pre Columbus times. As much as you would like to feign innocence for the attrocities perpetuated by your ancestors, you are just as guilty as them, by virtue of the fact that you have benefited off the slave trade. In modern times, if a drug dealer, after making millions of dollars, takes this money & invests (launders) it in a “legit” business which is then passed on to his children and grandchildren, when the authorities find out, they don’t come to the children and say “well, since you didn’t actually sell the drugs, you won’t get prosecuted”!! No, they tell them you’re under arrest and will expeditiously be charged/convicted under R.I.C.O.!!!
Therefore, this government, and every white person in this country that has benefited from the trans atlantic slave trade should be brought to justice. And since you seem to want to quote the Bible (Love your neighbor), let me ask you this……did the colonial slave masters follow that same anecdote when they were raping our women, castrating & lynching our men and destroying the minds of our children????? We have every right to hate you people…..it’s not unjustified!! Remember, everything that Black people do and think today, is the direct result of our captivity here in the Americas.We did not arrive here on our own volition, we were stolen!!!!
